Clear Essence Cosmetics is one of the first skincare brands ever created by and for people of color. Since the late 1980s, we have made a commitment to the ethnic complexion market, a market that was otherwise untapped three decades ago. Today, Clear Essence Cosmetics is the leader among its competitors. We proudly stand as the most preferred skincare brand by people of color, worldwide. What sets us apart is our quality, care and innovation. We recognize the physical and physiological differences between skin tones, and work to identify and target the needs of ethnic skin types. Darker complexions are more likely to experience water loss and dryness, sometimes described as ‘ashy’ skin. They are also prone to hyperpigmentation, which is an overproduction of melanin that causes uneven skin tone and dark spots. Our team of cosmetologists and industry experts continue to research and develop formulations that specifically target these conditions. Our mission is to manufacture and distribute products that make darker skin types look and feel amazing. Clear Essence Cosmetics unites the principles of science and beauty to nourish radiant skin. Our products make waves far and wide thanks to superior service. We ship internationally, from our factory to your doorstep. Custom care for every product and every customer is a top priority. With Clear Essence Cosmetics, achieving your ultimate complexion has never been so simple.
For many, coffee is a daily necessity: They grab a cup on the way out the door, gulp it down, and get to work. For Karen Ross, it’s a lifestyle. Ever since the '80s when she bought her first coffee grinder, she's been passionate about sharing her love for the brew with the greater community. Today, Karen’s the mastermind behind Cleveland Cold Brew Coffee and Cafe. "Here at our shop, we’re excited to share our delicious coffees and affordable breakfast and lunch options with our friends and neighbors. We spend up to 24 hours crafting our bold, smooth signature cold brew, but it'll only take one sip before you're hooked!"

Cloth & Paper is one a Black-owned business that sells stationery. This company offers beautiful leather planners and paper planner inserts. It also sells foil dividers and exclusive stationery items. Cloth & Paper aims to change the look and feel through minimal design and luxe finishing. Established in 2015, the birth of Cloth & Paper was out of necessity! Owner Ashley Reynolds had left her corporate job of nine years. She needed to devise a plan on what her next career move would be. Reynolds has always been a paper-loving, pen-hoarding, notebook collector. Over time, her collection became overwhelming. When she got engaged to her now-husband, he requested that she sell part of her stash. He needed relief from the clutter before they moved in together. Little did he know what was in store for him. Today his wife’s Black-owned business is full of pens, paper, gold foil, and all things planner related.

"BRIDGE THE GAP, BUILD THE CONNECTION." Created by Oakland native, Charlie, the original idea behind CO/LAB was simple; how could he represent where he was from (Oakland, CA) and where he's lives (Los Angeles,CA) with a hat? Expanding from his story, CO/LAB now builds a bond between multiple cities that normally would have no association with one another. Through design, people are now able to showcase their alliances to more than just their hometown or favorite team. Stay tuned for the hat that best represents you.
