I started my shop as a sort of random idea, to see if anyone showed any interest in items I make. I've always wanted to sell my creations, but never knew where to start. So when Etsy came along, I decided to say "what the heck, I'll give it a shot." Now, I'm adding more and more items, hoping you'll find something that speaks to you!

I founded AIREYYS as I noticed there were a lot of misconceptions of men with beards. I wanted to bridge the gap and promote the well groomed bearded gentlemen, instead of the old taboo of beards being scruffy. I took this focus into my design concept "The Dark Horse" – our top selling range of beard oils – which became my approach and slogan for AIREYYS limited branding.

AK-Wilde is the name for one of the British black-owned companies on our list: a new collection of designs and products by Textile Designer and Teacher, Karen HB. She uses the brand name Ak-wilde Nature. Karen named AK-Wilde after her two daughters. The AK represents Aylia and Karissa, and the Wilde is for Karen's love of nature. Karen is a graduate of the London College of Fashion (University of the Arts). She is also a recent graduate from the Art and Business of Surface Pattern Design. She creates unique surface pattern designs in a variety of themes, which customers can buy or license. Some are also available to buy as scarves and home furnishing items from her shop. The beauty of nature and the diversity of plant life influence the print designs created by this black-owned business. Another inspiration is the vibrant patterns and colors of global cultures.
