My name is Hepston H. Henry II. My mother is from St. Croix, and my father is from Jamaica. Growing up, one of my fondest memories was the house booming with Soca and Reggae while my mother and I whipped up several herbs and spices into a unique blend for our Caribbean dishes. My father and I would then use this blend to season the food for the grill. As we sat on the patio, the silence was broken up by intermittent laughs, him sipping his beer, and guidance of how to man the grill, and life in general. I have kept these memories and my family secret blend of spices with me A.L.L. these years, and have incorporated it into my own cooking. I watched close friends enjoy my cooking and my family recipe; now I would like to share it with you A.L.L. Some of the strongest values of my family were God, Love, Loyalty, Hard Work, and Willingness to Help! These are values I exhibit in A.L.L. aspects of my life. I take pride in the product I'm sharing with you, and I hope you enjoy a little bit of my culture in every bite you take!

I am a mother that didn't sit back and take NO for an answer when her daughter was diagnosed with Alopecia Areata. I am also a praying mother that knows that God is able to do all things but fail. When doctors told us that our daughter would never grow her hair back we knew God had a different plan. Through the Grace of God, we created the all-natural hair oil, named after our daughter, that not only grew our daughter's hair back, but it hasn't fallen out since growing it back in 2012. In the beginning, it wasn't our intention to start a business but God told us to get it out there and that's what we've been obedient in doing. (2 Kings 4:1-7) We thought in the beginning the oil was just for those with alopecia areata. Through the years we've seen the hair growth victories in those with all types of hair loss including all forms of alopecia, lupus, male pattern baldness, after chemo patients, and even those that have no clue why their hair has fallen out or thinning. Our goal has never truly been to sell the oil. Our goal is to let you know what God has done in our lives and what HE can do in yours if you let HIM. And if you happen to get the oil that's great! But you will know after talking to us that God can do the big and the small if you let HIM! AMEN

My creative process involves clarifying a subject, sketching pencil drafts of a focal image and outlining the focal image in thick lines. Afterwards, I draw curved and straight lines to create sections of varying sizes in and around the focal image and weave different patterns within each of the sections. My final step, typically, involves applying color to the piece, but I do have a few pieces that are mostly black and white. Since 2007, I’ve created over 30 commissioned pieces for clients and participated in more than 30 artist showcases in Washington DC, Maryland, Pennsylvania and Virginia. I’ve been featured in 5 publications and authored “Kinks, Perms and Afros: A Coloring Book Celebrating Black Women’s Hair.” My goal as an artist is to create pieces that encourage people to be inspired by their own interpretations of my artwork, and my brand’s primary mission is to provide creative products and services that help people develop and sustain soulful connections to self, others and the Sacred. I strive to continue developing an artistic brand that captures life in intricate patterns and energetic colors and connects people with affordable art.
