Symbols are potent tools for transformation. They can enable great shifts in your perspective and attitude, changing the way you interact with the world around you. Out of a desire to help women to feel strong and centred, I have created my own modern symbols to protect and empower those who wear them. My love of silversmithing was born in 2007 in a magical little town called Pushkar, in the Indian state of Rajasthan. I stumbled upon a local jeweller teaching silversmithing to tourists and decided to have a go at making a ring. I ended up staying in Pushkar for months so I could learn as much as possible with Sunil. I fell in love with the technique and the town. Back in London, I invested in all the tools I needed and honed my skills. My love of India and fascination with the ancient rituals and traditions of the country has had a very strong influence on my design aesthetic. Symbolism is an everyday part of Indian culture and can be seen on everything, from temples to the markings on peoples faces. It is an unspoken language - shapes and colours that mean more than mere aesthetics. All of my time spent in India has filled me with a fascination for the symbolic which inspired many of the pieces in my collections. I am a Londoner, born and bred. I have a deep love for my city and it's unique style and attitude also has a big influence on my work. A contemporary take on ancient talismans and amulets, my jewellery is a representation of the esoteric in the modern metropolis and is designed to empower the women who wear it to invoke their divine feminine. Jewellery for women with one foot in the material world and one foot in the spirit world who are looking for jewellery to be worn as more than simply decoration but as symbols of what they wish to manifest and become.

Hello – I’m Pia Cato, the owner and founder of the Vanilla Pod Bakery. My Cotswold based business was born out of a passion for creating delicious cakes that put a smile on people’s faces. I’ve loved baking for as long as I can remember. I have fond memories of making yummy scones and helping my father bake jam tarts on a lazy Sunday afternoons. So it was only natural that I went on to launch the Vanilla Pod Bakery in 2009. I decided to set the business up after I won the University of Gloucestershire’s first ever business planning competition. Initially, my idea was to open a cupcake tearooms but I soon discovered that my heart lay with creating bespoke cakes for extra special occasions. And the Vanilla Pod Bakery was born. We now specialise in creating relaxed yet elegant wedding cakes. Myself and small team operate out of a dedicated cake studio in the Fairview area of Cheltenham. We offer a highly personalised cake experience, with all cakes being created to order. No factory lines here! Using high-quality ingredients – from local free-range eggs from our super suppliers Happy Chuck Eggs, to Matthews Cotswold Flour, to fragrant Madagascan vanilla. All of our mouth-watering cakes are handed created with the upmost care and love. Over the years myself and team have been very lucky to bake for many wonderful couples and have been featured in many super blogs and magazines, including OK! and Hello. We are also a preferred cake supplier at a number of prestigious venues across the Cotswold area

M+H Cake

Hi you! My name is Abigail, a cake loving lady in London and the founder of M+H Cake Company. I haven't always been making cakes, but I have been eating them for as long as I can remember! Honestly, a large majority of my childhood photos are taken with cake or me with a chocolate bar within my hands! I haven't always been in the world of cakes. After I finished secondary school, I decided not to follow the traditional ‘university’ route. I loved making cakes and wanted to turn my love into something to share publicly with others. I am passionate about creating cakes that not only look beautiful but also taste divine. There was no one else like me in this field and I wanted to start something to fill that gap. At 19, it took one person to trust me with their wedding cake a couple years back and I fell in love with making wedding cakes, and I haven't stopped baking ever since! I provide beautifully looking and tasting cakes adorned with flowers from birthdays to weddings, I have you covered.
