Cori René was born in the Spring of 2013 in New York City. Cori René founder, Nykeba René was looking for an all natural, all over moisturizer and decided to make one herself. Cori René is 100% natural and cruelty-free. Cori René is carefully handcrafted in small batches. Cori René includes raw ingredients and organic, cold pressed, or steam distilled oils. Cori René formulas are original and tested by the founder, Nykeba René. The power of nature took us on a journey to creating Cori René, after years of using unknown ingredients and harsh chemicals topically. The founder, Nykeba René began experimenting with whole, healthy ingredients that would nurture her body inside and out, while in her college kitchen. Embracing the unknown and adopting a healthier lifestyle influenced her mindset significantly. She stopped chemically processing her hair and began researching the healing powers of herbs and plants. Her research led her to handcrafting her own plant based formulas, from scratch. In 2010, Nykeba whipped up her first batch of unscented Hydration Butta during a snowstorm in Syracuse, NY. She still remembers how nourished her skin and hair felt, after experiencing the moisturizing powers of Hydration Butta. After a few years of wearing and sharing Hydration Butta with family and friends, hearing an array of compliments received by our testers and testing other sustainable skincare products; she knew it was time to spread her passion for creating a rejuvenating skin care line. We sold our first jar of Hydration Butta in 2013. To this day, our natural, all-purpose moisturizer is our most popular creation and continues to nurture the skin, scalp and strands of many. Embracing all of Mother Nature's Greatness allowed us to create a skincare collection that uplifts you senses and benefits your total well being. We’re still inspired by nature and powered by the many hidden treasures that our earth provides.

Our company was built around a strong belief that ‘less’ is ‘more’ which is why every one of our products contain a limited number of powerful and effective natural and organic ingredients! The dOSA Natural Skin Care Product Line was developed by three professional and entrepreneurial women inspired by stories about their Great Grandma Dosa who was born in Mississippi and who had an affinity for Magnolias. Grandma Dosa instilled a strong since of pride, simple beauty and stressed the importance of honoring the outside of your body as well as the inside. Not only did she insist on using natural methods to accentuate her natural beauty, she also understood and advocated for daily skin care regimes free of harmful chemicals. She knew that natural was better. Recognizing that there seemed to be no shortage of communication about the effects of corrosive additives in food but the effects of these same pollutants in relation to skin care was often omitted, the three sisters set out on a mission to share the traditions and set of core values passed down through generations pushing to change the narrative and to educate the masses. It is these values that are the driving force behind the dOSA Skin Care Product Line. Each product is handmade and contain a limited number of powerful and effective natural and organic ingredients. Harmful chemicals, irritants or synthetic additives are never added.

First things first-- it's Ekow like echo :) Ekow is the name of our second son, who definitely keeps us on our toes. It means "boy born on Thursday" in the Ghana Ashanti tradition of day naming which we inherited from my husband. You may be more familiar with the name Kofi (which is a bit more popular) and means "boy born on Friday". We have one of those too! I'm an entrepreneur, wife and mom of two beautiful boys. When I find something that makes me happy, I want to share it with everyone around me. This skin care line has come to me at a time when I (and probably you too) felt confused and worried about the future. I was looking for something to boost my mood, inspire me and focus positive energy. And so, Ekow Body was born out of necessity and hope. I am the owner of Lavish Beauty Essentials, and I am a third year law student. Lavish Beauty Essentials is a natural personal care and beauty products company that sells body butters, body scrubs, body polishes, lip care products, and more! I started the company because I want people to be able to embrace healthy skin and hair without the added chemicals found in many store-bought products. I noticed that most natural personal care companies cater specifically to women. Our Product Philosophy. We have a scientific advisory board of functional doctors, researchers, beauty professionals, and herbalists that we consult with for every formula. We use responsibly sourced, clean ingredients. We choose sustainable components, and make sure nothing in our formulas negatively impacts people or the planet. We avoid ingredients that are in short supply, or require lots of resources to extract the beneficial compounds. We pay careful attention to how our products are made. Some manufacturing and extraction processes actually diminish the beneficial properties of the ingredients. Ensuring all of our botanicals actually have the desired effect means knowing the temperatures, machinery, and solvents used during every single step of the process. We think about synergies between our ingredients, which are either clinically proven or supported by a herbalist methodology, whether that's Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, or indigenous plant wisdom. We test our products within the Frigg community so we can gather their feedback and make improvements to existing products, as well as ideating new formulations.

Ginger Galore is an all-natural health and beauty line, which includes products made from ginger to be used internally and externally. Ginger Galore is founded and owned by Samari Walker. She was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She grew up eating very unhealthy. When she went off to college she decided to start living a healthy lifestyle. One day she tried a smoothie not knowing ginger was in the recipe. She described ginger as “the worst flavor ever.” In 2016-2017, Samari was getting sick very often so she researched the best way to build her immune system. “What did she find?” GINGER TEA! She was very skeptical but eventually she tried it. She continued drinking the tea and realized she wasn’t getting sick anymore. She realized it was a natural healer so she created her own recipe. Her desire to share it with the world created Ginger Galore.
