CANDID ART WAS BORN FROM THE SINGLE CREATIVE EFFORT OF A PASSIONATE WOMAN, AND QUICKLY TURNED INTO A LIFESTYLE FOR MANY OF ITS CUSTOMERS. Established in 2011, CANDID ART is inspired infinitely by research and affinity with African visual culture, indigenous design vernacular, and cosmic geometry. Each piece is handcrafted and is created for the fearless fashion enthusiast who desires to make a statement without saying a word. CANDID ART funky urban-chic designs have graced the pages of numerous publications such as Essence Magazine,GQ, San Francisco Magazine, Design Sponge, Pynk, Vocab, and Rolling Stones magazine, and have been worn by celebrities. In 2018 CANDID ART Accessories rebranded as simply CANDID ART, to expand their design offering to Jewelry, Art, and Home Decor.

Caravan Organics produces handcrafted vegan soap and products for the body and home. They make all their products by hand in small batches with the best ingredients in Washington DC. The African-American business owner behind this venture is Dominique Williams. She draws inspiration from nature and travel. She names many of her soaps after places she has traveled to or hopes to visit. She loves the idea of the caravan style of travel, hence the name of her company. Apart from soaps, Caravan also supplies upcycled suitcases and makeup/sewing cases. Washcloths, roll-on perfumes, soy candles are also part of the product line. So are wool dryer balls, body butters, and lip balms.

Cereal & such, a cereal bar in Los Angeles, launched in May of 2017. The company has gone on to collaborate with Nike, Footaction, Westfield Malls & more. The company functions as a creative office and product company led by artist Theo Martins.

Clare is a Black-owned business that’s on a mission to make paint shopping more comfortable and more inspiring. It helps customers to create a home that they love. The founder, Nicole Gibbons, is an interior designer and entrepreneur. It is one of the Black-owned companies that seek to disrupt an industry. It also seeks to make life easier for customers. Shopping for paint should be a joy, not a hassle. So, Clare took on an archaic industry to reinvent the entire experience. They’ve created a better way. They offer a curated color palette with the highest quality paint, and no-mess, no-fuss color sampling. Then, the company delivers the best painting supplies to the customer’s door. Plus, customers get the guidance to get them going and keep them inspired along the way.

T.E.A stands for Travel - Events – Activism. Classy Hippie Tea Co. is a Black-owned business that offers an unforgettable experience. T.E.A. members travel beyond tourist attractions in search of cultural events, human connections, and excellent tea. They also engage and leverage local communities. This company strives to make drinking tea more fun through community events. It provides social and interactive drinking experiences, engaging all five senses. T.E.A. started when African American business owner Leo Hickman returned from Kuwait in 2003. Hickman was a combat engineer in the U.S. Air Force, and he wanted a way to spread peace. “What I found is the only way I know how to break cultural barriers is sitting down over food, breaking bread,” says Hickman. Classy Hippie Tea Co. donates quarterly to global and local charities. These charities address the long-term needs of communities affected by natural disasters.

Coffee by Kee is a woman-operated Black-owned business. Kee Thompson and Kenisha Thompson are the ones behind this micro-roastery located in beautiful Fleming Island, Florida. They offer freshly roasted gourmet coffees and hand-blended teas from around the world. Coffee by Kee is the culmination of curiosity, respect, and admiration. The Thompsons shared their enjoyment of coffee during late-night Navy watches. They also indulged during night study research/writing sessions. Their love for specialty coffee came from sampling beans from different regions. The Thompsons enjoy roasting coffee to bring out the best each pod has to offer. They then share it with their customers. This Black-owned business has ethical sourcing practices. Its beans come from farmers in some of the world's best coffee-producing regions.

Legendary Rootz was created due to a need for representation and a safe space for the black community. Our purpose is to reclaim our history and celebrate black culture through powerful apparel and accessories.
