So this company has been heavy on my heart for quite some time, so I decided to just go ahead and put myself and my company out there. I've started this company in my living room (which has been quite a process) and we will see where we go. I was inspired to start this business because I practice witchcraft and it has helped me tremendously in the past and I wanted to create a space ( and store ) that other Witches out there can feel safe and find all of their tools and supplies (plus some). I enjoy making spell jars and I know that they can really help when you need them, whether it be for love, confidence, to help with anxiety, or whatever the reason, I know that they can help others as well. Our brand is 100% woman owned who empowers and support women in different communities in Africa, Southern America and USA. We love prints and vibrant colors and our clothes dare people to bring the world to their closet. Shavanthe and Team participated in several big and small popup events, festivals, trade shows and markets in and outside USA. This brand has been published and or featured in different platforms and won awards.

Hi, my name is Tanya, and I created my brand, KERIKA Apparel, a few years ago. I have always liked my middle name, Kerika, so I used it for the brand. I love fashion and beauty. I worked for many years as a Makeup Artist. I have always looked for cute clothes that represent my homeland of Jamaica, but I quickly got tired of the Jamaica flag tee shirts or leggings. I wanted something cuter and more modern. I wanted clothes that show my pride in my culture. With the help of my Haitian graphic designer husband (Jamaican by Marriage), I was able to put my ideas into fruition, and KERIKA Apparel was born. KERIKA Apparel is a Black Owned Business that draws from Caribbean Culture, especially Jamaica, for inspiration and creativity but celebrates modern Black Culture from around the world.

Carib Ibis is a small, black-owned business located in the greater Washington, D.C. area, specializing in unique apparel, art prints, and jewelry inspired by the African Diaspora. We celebrate the Siren in every woman and king in every man, through eye-catching slogan apparel and Afrocentric home decor. Our pieces reflect messages of tolerance, unity, equality, strength, and whimsy with a vibrant Afro-Caribbean flair. OUR NAME. Our name is inspired by the striking and resilient national bird of Trinidad and Tobago: the Scarlet Ibis. These beautiful, fiery red, long-beaked birds reside in the Caroni Swamp, where their vibrant red color commands attention. They are strong in numbers, mate for life, and are an absolute vision in flight. OUR BEGINNING. Carib Ibis opened softly in 2013, offering a small collection of original acrylic paintings and handmade statement jewelry. After a year's break, however, we decided it was time to start fresh and share our passions for fashion and art inspired by the African Diaspora. In 2014, we began offering prints of our original art, made-to-order graphic tees, and hand-painted/hand-cut tees. Our Story. Queennette originally started as Queennette Closet in April of 2016. I started with handmade jewelries and home decors from prints, clothing, shoes, paintings and more. The name Queennette first came to me during a period of deep healing and self-discovery while I was getting counselling to help me find my identity and my purpose in life. In the quest for finding myself, I discover my passion for making jewelries and for fashion. Over the years, I decided to make it simpler by changing the name to Queennette. The goal of Queennette is to encourage a personal sense of fashion by bringing you the most unique jewelries, clothing, apparels and more. Queennette aims to encourage the individual to discover his or her purpose in life; and fulfill it through his or her passions and through community outreach. At the age of 40, Kris-tel is an honorable Army Veteran, Mother of two, dedicated Entrepreneur and 2x's Crohn's Survivor. Her passion for designing started at a young age expanding into adulthood. Kris-Tel, established this amazing company originally as Kouture Kandles Suite in 2006, initially selling only Natural Soy candles. Today she offers a variety of hand designed, hand-made products to include, Graphic designed tees, Hand crafted Jewelry & Accessories, Scented Soy Candles, Beard Oil, & Scented Shea Butter (Slay Butta).
