We are design-makers of Jamaican hand-made ceramics, lighting, furniture and soft goods for the home. Our main products are our porcelain home goods and bespoke lighting fixtures inspired by the Caribbean with a modern aesthetic. Our products are designed with traditional and modern materials using new methods of design-making[micro/light manufacturing] to create design innovations for the home. We infuse Caribbean ‘roots & culture’ and nature, into the design and creation of each piece while utilising modern technology to advance the designs. The product line is clean and modern but warm at the same time, a true expression of Tropical Modern, functional design for the home, typically, pairing local materials such as Jamaican wood and clay with the natural beauty of ‘very white’ porcelain. The shapes are simple, marrying crisp whites and colours of the Tropics with the warmth of wood and other traditional local materials.

Since our creation in 2015 by Tshepo Mohlala, his purpose was clear; to connect with people through the stories that our designs tell. A lifestyle brand founded in South Africa, TSHEPO offers a range of bespoke denim clothing and ready-to-wear products, the brand has established itself in the hearts and minds of ordinary South Africans and people across the world, where our brand has been applauded .Our decision to specialise in denim is due to its distinctly nostalgic character and its ability to tell stories. It’s not just stories, it’s the truth. Your jeans tell the story about you. Denim beocmes a part of you, a passport with a unique ability to tell the truth. The TSHEPO logo – a three pronged crown – is inspired by the three women to have played a role in the upbringing of Tshepo: His mother, grandmother, and trendy aunt Takalani. Women who raised him and shaped him into the man he is. They allowed Tshepo to wear his crown. Each peak represents a women that shaped him into the man who wears the crown. We believe that our main responsibility is to create desirable and functional items that our consumers value and can enjoy for a life time. Each product tells a true story. At TSHEPO we believe. We believe in the power of story telling. Every product we sell has a purpose and a story, a reason why we made it. Story telling is where our product development process begins. We believe in community. The friends of our friends are our friends. We believe that jeans fit better when the person making them does it with love and is treated well. We believe that our processes are as important as the final product. We believe in Africa. TSHEPO delivers world class quality whilst honoring our roots and heritage. Our philosophy has always been “People First”, we value community and we pay special attention to our design process. If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part is honored. The importance of quality, craft and culture, attention to detail and honoring Africa resonate deeply, informing our brand’s core philosophy. Our mission is simple: to promote the accessiblity of denim and the unique stories that denim tells about it’s wearer. Her collaged paintings include found paper sourced from magazines, newspapers and books as well as hand-painted paper along with her own mark-making. In addition to her collage work, K’era collaborates with one of the few remaining American mills to transform her multi-media pieces into colorful woven throw blankets, pillows and tapestries made of 100% hand-dyed cotton for home interiors. SampleHAUS

Women Owned
SampleHAUS got its start by creatively up-cycling interior design waste into eclectic home decor. While working at an interior design firm, I was always surrounded by beautiful fabrics and other materials that mostly ended up getting thrown away, for reasons as discontinuation or project surpluses. I decided to begin collecting these excess materials and that’s when SampleHAUS was born. With a background in Fine Art and Interior Architecture, Diana Adams found a way to combine her natural artistic talents with her respect for what the interior design industry is doing for creating more sustainable environments and life styles. The interior design and architectural industry has been leading the charge in sustainable design and reducing the our carbon foot print, but simultaneously generating waste of their own in the process. I want do my part in utilizing and upcycling what would have been discarded and giving it a new life. This could be anything from discontinued or excess samples that vendors creating for marketing, to scraps of materials left over from upholstery and building materials.

Estelle Colored Glass

Women Owned, Luxury, Ships Internationally
Estelle Colored Glass is a luxury brand of hand-blown colored glass cake stands and stemware in a mix of jewel tones and soft pastels. The Estelle Colored Glass collection is comprised of original commissioned pieces made by glass artisans in Poland at a glass making company with a rich 100-plus-year-old history. Estelle Colored Glass pieces are best described as "jewels for your table." We just hope our vintage-inspired yet refined and modern colored glass collection starts a revival of colored glass that is reminiscent of a past time. Estelle Colored Glass is inspired by my grandmother, Estelle, who loved antiquing and had a special day of the week where she visited her favorite shops looking for new treasures in small neighboring South Carolina towns. During the summer months, I had the pleasure of coming along on many of these treasure hunts. My favorite collection that she was always adding to was her colored glass collection. This marked the start of my love for colored glass. My grandmother often used her colored glass pieces at Sunday dinners. She was well-known as an amazing cook and every course was delicious. She always prepared a homemade dessert to be enjoyed on Sundays by family and friends who would often drop in for an afternoon visit. Her signature dessert was a from scratch decadent vanilla pound cake often beautifully displayed on a colored glass cake stand and served with a side of strawberry jello topped with whipped cream. The moist pound cake with the chilled jello and creamy whipped cream were a delectable blend. Under my grandmother's tutelage, I learned my first fundamental cooking techniques all the while spending invaluable time side by side with her in the kitchen and accompanying her on shopping trips. Most of all, I am indebted to her for teaching me the gift of being a fine hostess. I hope our heirloom quality pieces help create special memories for you just like the memories I have of time spent with my grandmother, Estelle, affectionately also known as "Big Mama."
