The Roaming Botanica is about creating a healthier life. It was started because I feel like I could be living healthier, and by using all natural ingredients and not relying on pharmaceuticals. The thought that you can get the entire essence of a plant and use it help yourself is beyond fascinating and amazing to me. That we are made up of water and we have been given what we need to heal ourselves is exceptional.

Aromariss was born out of its founder’s curiosity. In 1999, Rissa discovered the beautiful art of soapmaking under the hobbies section of a friend’s wedding photo-sharing site. As with many other soapers, it started as a hobby. But she was in Senegal, with a limited choice in supplies. Rissa set out to create a recipe with shea butter, coconut and palm oil; three oils and butter that are easily available in West Africa. She realized that using 20% shea butter in soaps made a wonderful bar that did wonders to dry skin. ? Aromariss was born a year later and she started doing craft fairs in Senegal. Then, she embarked on a change of career, lived in four countries and three continents in seven years, before finally settling in Canada in 2012. Aromariss was put on the back burner, although she never stopped making soap. ? Aromariss 2.0 was reborn once she was sure she will not be packing her bags again. Based in Ontario, Ottawa, Aromariss now steadily provides handmade natural skin, body and hair products.

Ever since I was little I did arts and crafts with my aunt. It has always been a part of my life. A few years ago, I was watching TV with my husband and noticed beaded jewelry all over the place. I told him I could make those. The next day at work, I made my first bracelet and sold it 5 minutes later. People started lining up for my designs and I started making custom-designed beadwork as a side business. In 2019, I wanted to expand into personalized items like hair accessories and pouches so my husband and I invested in a Cricut®. I immediately got to work and received even more orders. I enjoy learning new things and I told my husband I wanted to add embroidery to further customize my designs. He did the research and surprised me with my sewing/embroidery machine. I was a little afraid to even take it out the box because I had never used a sewing machine before. Two days before Christmas in 2019, I made a giant leap and quit my job so that I could focus on my design business full time. Thankfully, my mother-in-law helped me learn the sewing machine over the winter. When the corona virus hit, I was able to create customized masks for people. I am happy to be able to contribute my work during this stressful time, bringing joy to those who want to have a one-of-a-kind mask to wear out in public. I'm excited to continue learning new skills, expanding and evolving my creations. Blinging is all done by hand... one stone at a time, and that is something that will never change.

Becoming more aware of harsh chemicals in daily products over the past 10 yrs. I realized the benefits of making my own items for at home use! I grew up with facial & body acne which caused areas of hyperpigmentation. Some spots went away on their own; but others stayed. Then as I got older and my body weight fluctuated; it caused an increase in excessive hair growth on my face (side burns, chin, neck). As a woman, I am not comfortable with looking like fuzzy wuzzy. I use black soap and got into shea butter; and then coconut oil after I had my hair loc'd for a few years. Having locs is a definite commitment & teaches patience & better self care. Then in 2017, I decided to make my own blend of oil to help my overall application of a product easier for my skin & hair. Every time people see me (who haven't seen me in awhile), give compliments on how my skin looks clearer and my hair looks longer. I continue to research the oils and verify compatible combinations and measurements. I am a naturally creative person and put in positive energy and time into all my projects! I chose to start sharing the oils with friends and family last year and have received great feedback! My mother loves to use the lemon blend! My god daughters hair is now tamer (as she is mixed) according to her mom! Extended family uses on their 5 kids! A few coworkers really like the orange blend! Already Shipped some oil to NOVA, VA Beach, California, & New Jersey! As I develop more useful products, those will be added to the shop!

After a burn accident in 2016, the founder found herself in her home in Edgewater, NJ for weeks on end with doctors orders to stay out of direct sunlight. With nerve damage to her legs, learning to walk normal again and scars over 60% of her body she didn't know how to go back to living her life as she once knew it. The accident affected her work and social life more than she'd expected. During this time she realized she would have to find a new way to live her life because her old life was gone. Coming to this realization made her naturally feel defeated at first. After spending an ample amount of time home, she began to become more creative then she'd ever been. She started doing things like painting, writing music and making candles as tactics to soothe her anxiety, ease her mind and keep herself from being depressed by all of the changes that had occurred. Once she began making candles she fell in love. She no longer felt like she was missing work or being outside socializing. She just kept creating from there. From candles to lotions, from lotions to soaps, etc. She found peace in creativity. From there she was able to rehab herself mentally in order to start her life over. She knew her mind would need to be in a certain space in order to heal and grow from the experience and decided her fragrances would be inspired by and reflect that. Each fragrance was created with a feeling or emotion in mind that she wanted to be transferred through the product. Once she mastered that, it became her rebirth. She was now ReBourne, fearless and feeling the world was her oyster. Her life had a new purpose totally different than she'd ever imagined. The company name is inspired by her great grandmother Bourne as a homage to her grandmother whom raised her and her determination to share her story about how she started over again. The mission to help any person in the need of a mental transformation, whether it be from an accident or a bad day at work is what ReBourne stands by. We started Homescape Pets after losing our first schnauzer, Beau to cancer. Towards the end, we knew we couldn’t SAVE her life, but we could give her a better QUALITY of life. That included less hard-core drugs and more of what nature provides. With the help of some amazing integrative veterinarians, we're creating simple, all-natural, hemp & CBD-based pet supplements and single-ingredient chews. Our goal is to get and keep your pet healthy, NATURALLY.

365 Body Love LLC, is a handcrafted family brand creating all-natural skin care products for your face and body. For us 365 Body Love was birthed after our children who all suffered from seasonal eczema continued to have flareups even with prescription skin creams that were sometimes making matters worse as time went on. They would temporary help, but then things would change as the weather changed leaving their skin dry and itchy. Furthermore, our eldest daughter also suffered from normal teen acne and had begin to resent her skin after failed steroid topical creams and OTC products. So we spent time researching and understanding skin conditions, which are not all one type fits all and started making our own facial scrubs and body butter. Our first product which was a staple was our African Facial Scrub. It begin to pull all her toxins to the surface and leveled her skin out, leaving it clear and smooth from blackheads and severe breakouts. From there I noticed an immediate change in our kids skin as well with the whipped body butter that I included some key oils after care researching and trying recipes. Maybe I was onto something I thought...I just wished we had did this sooner, but it is never too late to make changes even if it is small. The family and I were also intentional in only using what I made. I wanted to know if it was more than just what they ate, but also what they used on their skin, mainly from OTC products which contained ingredients I could never say nor knew what they meant. Months went by...and we are still going strong with no flare ups. Being intentional with our products was helpful to truly understanding our skincare and what worked and did not work. We believe that great skin takes commitment, time and understanding of products.

I am a Professional Waxer who has been a licensed Esthetician since 2010. I earned my Bachelors of Science in business administration with a focus on accounting in 2014. I have been able to help my clients tackle ingrowns and achieve smooth hairless skin. As a wax trainer for a national waxing company, I have perfected my technique and encountered an array of skin and hair types. Becoming certified in PCA Skin chemical peels helped me provide clients achieve even more beautiful skin on their face and body. My goal is to not only use high performing products to help my clients with their skin and post-waxing care needs, but also provide a comfortable, trustworthy and fun environment so customers feel right at home!
