Dragonfly Lake Scents, LLC was founded in 2012 in my kitchen as a way to help my daughter care for her sensitive skin. As her skin cleared, friends and family would ask, “What products are you using?!” When I told them, I was making my own they were impressed and asked often to buy my soap! I was overjoyed! And a business was born! Five years later, I added a partner (Tenise Monterio). The business has evolved into a line of bath and body products that use ingredients such as local beer and wine, herbs, and raw goats milk that can be found in and around Erie, PA. Olive oil, coconut oil and sustainably sourced and produced palm oil round out the list. Our oils, colorants, fragrance and essential oils come from companies that do business in an honest and ethical manner. Our herbs and flowers come from our own garden! I created Venus in Leo with the goal of providing effective and luxurious non-toxic body care products at accessible sliding scale prices. Inspired by astrology, nature, and healing traditions from different parts of the world, my products strive to support individuals across race, gender, age, and ability in their personal journey towards healing, restoring, and loving their bodies. Venus in Leo is a one-woman operation. I do everything from researching and creating the products, to designing the labels, to packing your orders and taking them to the post office. All products are tried and true from my personal beauty regimen. I'll never sell anything that I don't believe in.

Hello there, and thank you for visiting my shop! I always enjoyed making things with my hands. I had originally started with floral decor but found my way into making bath bombs and salt scrubs somehow. I've found that I truly enjoy making new combinations and observing the results of my creations. The possibilities are endless. The scientist in me loves to experiment with different fragrance combinations. Finding the right oil combinations for skin is also something I've come to enjoy. I find myself researching the benefits of these oils and powders on skin. It's become fascinating. My father was always my silent supporter, where as my mom is my very vocal supporter. After my father passed away, making cosmetic items seemed to help me cope. Here I am, months later and still enjoying this never ending adventure on Etsy. I try out each of the items before placing up for sale. I'm always up for a challenge in making bath bombs, bath salts, salt scrubs, you name it. I will make it clear in each listing if the product is all natural or not. I understand that many would prefer natural products over not. SHIPPING DATES UPDATE: Due to the times I am scheduled for at my other job, I will only be able to ship items on Mondays and Thursdays unless otherwise specified in it's description. This does not affect my 1 to 3 day processing times. If there is a certain time you would need an item by, please do not hesitate to contact me so you can get your item at the time you need it. She has recently been awarded the 2019 Higher Achievement Award from the American Naturopathic Medical Association. She currently resides in Atlanta, GA with her husband and two daughters. Luxurious skincare made from Mama's Love I have always loved making things with my hands. I used to make homemade (lard) soap with my grandmother. It honestly was some of the best soap I’ve ever used. After having my daughter who had some dermatitis I noticed that I began having more breakouts. I tried everything and just got frustrated. So I took matters into my own hands. I researched and studied for causes and ways to help our problem. Using my biology background I began testing and trials. I take a lot of pride in my products and make everything with love and care. A portion of my sales goes towards a cause that is bringing water and jobs to villages in Africa. This past December we donated toys to the children of the village as well as got the water running at the school!
