Hello, I'm Tola the founder of Detola and Geek, I design by hand all my award-winning statement lampshades, homeware and gifts from my home studio in Hertfordshire, UK. Image may contain: 2 people My African inspired handcrafted lampshades are my signature & best-selling products. They seem to be gaining quite a reputation, slowly becoming a movement (am told). I tend to seek out eye-catching African inspired design prints which may be bold, geometric, retro, tribal, botanical, mid-century modern or even geeky too! They are certainly a quick & easy way to inject splashes of colour into your spaces. At the moment I’m obsessed with giving my lampshades alternative linings on the inside like metallic gold or bronze as well as transparent ones too. I love commissions, special projects, collaborations, especially partnering with interior designers /stylists, property developers, home-stagers architects. I also work with Film Sets & Stage Designers.

Plumb and Rabbitts is a small bespoke wedding and celebration cake company based in Longhoughton, Alnwick, Northumberland, specialising in delicious bespoke wedding cakes, birthday cakes and celebration cakes designed by Royal College of Art graduate Autumn Anastasia Rabbitts. With creative handmade cake designs and wonderful vintage recipes, Plumb & Rabbitts create something quite extraordinary with a fresh twist on tradition.

I founded Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen in July 2010 with the intention start an African food revolution by bringing ‘African food’ to the masses. I wanted to change the narrative around ‘African food’ and dispel stereotypes and limiting beliefs of what ‘African’ or ‘West African’ food was and could be. I’ve spent 10 years realising this in a very literal way - through supperclubs, kitchen residencies, mobile catering, a restaurant space in Brixton and my highly successful cookbook Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen. Through building a new narrative I have inspired and supported a new generation of African food entrepreneurs and - along with a good number of cooks and chefs from around the continent and in the diaspora – have helped establish a new gastronomy, New African Cuisine. I am proud of my contribution, and there is still more to do.

Tihara Smith is a fashion, accessories and lifestyle brand. Founded by designer Tihara Smith after graduation from University for the Creative Arts Epsom and showing her Windrush inspired collection at Graduate Fashion Week 2018. Inspired by her heritage, Tihara’s pieces take inspiration from the Caribbean with a London twist. Each piece is crafted by hand in London, using contemporary and traditional craft techniques. Tihara is inspired by interesting textiles, bright colours, tropical flora and fauna. She strives to create distinctive pieces that each have a story, and allow people have a little piece of the Caribbean.

Hi you! My name is Abigail, a cake loving lady in London and the founder of M+H Cake Company. I haven't always been making cakes, but I have been eating them for as long as I can remember! Honestly, a large majority of my childhood photos are taken with cake or me with a chocolate bar within my hands! I haven't always been in the world of cakes. After I finished secondary school, I decided not to follow the traditional ‘university’ route. I loved making cakes and wanted to turn my love into something to share publicly with others. I am passionate about creating cakes that not only look beautiful but also taste divine. There was no one else like me in this field and I wanted to start something to fill that gap. At 19, it took one person to trust me with their wedding cake a couple years back and I fell in love with making wedding cakes, and I haven't stopped baking ever since! I provide beautifully looking and tasting cakes adorned with flowers from birthdays to weddings, I have you covered.

The Pairabirds is the art studio of illustrator Tabitha Bianca Brown. Her style is a hybrid of 70s soul funk, noir, and minimalism. In 2005, Tabitha Brown received a BFA in Illustration from The American Academy of Art in Chicago, Illinois. Her artwork has been featured on several sites including Huffington Post, Design Milk, Decor8, Modish, and Afrolicious.

PRETTY GIRLS SWEAT founder, Aeshia DeVore Branch, grew tired of the alarming obesity rates plaguing youth and set out to create solutions with a highly engaging, lifestyle brand that makes fitness fun, affordable, and accessible for the population that makes, or will make, 80% of the healthcare decisions in the household... women.
