One day my daughter asked me to make her a pillow that makes her feel better. Ideally, she said, it would also have the power to stop all nightmares. Absolutely all nightmares! That’s how it started. The kids loved the first pillow. So we made another. And our friends started asking about the little feel-good pillows in our living room and scattered around the house. Pillows to put a smile on your face. Pillows to make you laugh. Pillows that provoke. I started GoodPillo to share these little joys with our community and give the gift of good energy. We believe in wearing your heart on your sleeve, to be authentic. We believe in the power of positive energy. And our pillows are little reminders to keep it real. Every day.

Living in TechniColor Design is in my genes, literally. My mom is a Fashion and Interior Design Professor. I was the girl that grew up with the homemade everything! - pants, dresses, costumes, purses, etc. Weekends were spent antiquing and furniture shopping. In college I majored in Fashion and Interior Merchandising then moved outside D.C. to pursue a career in fashion. Since then so much has happened. I even visited Paris to saturate myself in the textile trade culture. My dream job led me to work at a design showroom for high end firms. But, If I was to be honest I found myself a little burned out with working behind the scenes and desired a more hands on approach with clients. After working in the design field I faced my greatest challenge; integrating my newly married husband's beloved and extremely red couch into something beautiful, well at least workable. Forged from the sparks of fire from this challenge - Motif Pillows began. Using every ounce of experience I could muster I designed, painted, antiqued, and thrift shopped our way into our first sheik apartment. Creating curtains, fashioning headboards, painting and sanding cabinets, and of course designing pillows.

With over 25 years of experience, this mother & daughter team truly enjoys designing, creating, and making gifts of all types, including face masks, custom handbags, purses, wallets, baby shower & wedding items, blankets, quilts, appliques, embroidery items, jewelry and so much more! Our work ethic & guiding principles stem from Colossians 3:23: "Work at everything you do with all your heart. Work as if you were working for the Lord..." Making candles started as just a hobby for me , I would add them to my gift baskets ideas when planning different events to give my clients more ideas and they became a big hit. We just don’t do your regular candles in the cylinder glass jars. We became creative we use different size Mason Jar, Wine glasses, and special seasonal jars, Which makes all the candles reusable when there finish burning. All candles are made with 100% Soy Wax and Essential oil of your choice. We offer over 16 different colors, and have over 60 different essential oil ranging from your everyday scents to your seasonal holiday only scents. We are a growing business. My journey to this shop I started making wreaths in 2017. I begin as a way to relieve my anxiety. There were a lot of changes happening in my life at that time. After learning how to make wreaths, watching countless tutorials and blogs. I decided that I wanted to begin selling my wreaths. I began with a few craft shows and Facebook. I am a water colorist and athleisure wear designer. My journey is unconventional, to say the least. I am very sensitive to energy and emotions of people, energy of places or energy of objects. Some people may refer to it as being an Empath. For the longest time, I had no idea this was something out of the norm. I thought everyone could feel and experience people and places on the same level as I experienced them. As I got older, my experiences became more intense. It was very difficult for me to hide or run away from it. So, I prayed to God for wisdom and guidance. God told me to paint. I thought it was absurd. I hadn’t attended art classes since middle school. However, I did it. After sharing my artwork via social media, I began to receive sale requests and requests for commissioned art. That was when Farever Art was born. My painting technique and process is unconventional. I paint based on how I feel about a particular subject. All of my paintings are based on the energy of a person, place or object. I close my eyes and meditate on a subject. I paint with my eyes closed or I may gaze without focusing on the paper and paint. I don’t judge my art. I just create it. This is my precipitation, interpretation and vision of a subject. I am also a 200hr RYT and Barre Instructor. I created an athleisure wear clothing line. This line transforms positive energetic painting and designs into wearable art.
