New Origin Shop was made to provide unique and affordable selections to shoppers who are eager to support independent makers and small businesses. When I relocated to Austin, TX in 2017, the city sparked a revelation within me. People still believed in buying handcrafted, artisanal products. Products with a story—made by someone they could actually meet and talk to. So I turned my crocheting hobby into a business—first, with bags and accessories—and then eventually evolving into fiber jewelry, home decor, and more. Now, New Origin Shop hosts products from other artisanal makers as well as my own. The shop prioritizes products with low environmental impact but still make big contemporary statements. A little bit about myself... So if you didn't already know my name is Rex Sterling Hamilton, an Austin Texas Native. I live to be inspired, and Art is Life. I believe color is divine and can alter the way we see and perceive the world. Surrealism, Impressionism, Post-Impressionism, Neoexpressionism and influences from Pop are the Artist Styles I can relate to the most. My philosophy in Life revolves around creation and Love. My dream is to see Art on every inch of this Earth. I make art that reflects the beauty in the world, I empathize for those who suffer, but i don't feel it's my Creative purpose to depict suffering in my art. I believe that what we give our focused energy to will persist. I choose to paint the beauty in the world to make our realities more colorful and harmonious.

Having sold digital goods such as patterns and fonts for a couple of years I felt it was time to branch into selling physical goods to brighten people's lives and homes. I try to make things which are bright, colourful and exactly to my taste. nom was born in swaziland and grew up in netherlands. she studied textile design at the charles montaigne fashion academy in amsterdam. after graduating in 1999 she pursued a career as fashion designer for different brands. after 12 year in fashion she embarked on her own creative journey. nom explored different techniques before fully embracing weaving and macrame. as her knowledge and confidents crow she got more and more comfortable leaving things out and thats where her geo wallhangings started to take shape. doing a lot with a little is definitely one of her strengths. that doesn’t necessarily means a ‘less is more’ approach, but nom loves to make things less complicated. simplicity, beauty, and honesty are the essential ingredients in her work.
