Aso Ade is an African inspired lifestyle brand seeking to fuse Nigerian royalty with modern style. In the Nigerian culture, crowns, birds, and beads are used to represent royalty. The brand name “Aso Ade” originates from the yoruba language and translates to “Crown Cloth.” The word Ade is derived from the founder and designers’ name “Adeniyi,” which means, “The crown is prestige.” The coral beads in the logo signify protection, unity, and continuity from generation to generation. Aso Ade styles and designs will be made using unique african prints, and ankara fabric. Aso Ade pieces are designed in the U.S. and made in Nigeria. The company was formed in 2017. Our mission is to create and deliver quality products that improves the quality of life for others. We believe the rich African culture and fashion can be leveraged to help bridge the gap for our fellow brothers and sisters in the diaspora. Our company will partner with several companies and organizations working on different initiatives focusing on improving the lives of the current and future generation in Africa. Avalah is a premiere Black-owned business started by a visonary who wanted access to more healthful products. The founder, Alexzandra Denis, wanted to transform the industry. Denis realized beauty products are full of unhealthy and unnatural materials. She grew up in Brooklyn of Caribbean descent. Her mother always made sure Denis and her sister used natural products on their bodies and in their hair. According to Denis, Avalah has nothing she would not use herself. The company uses similar ingredients to some other black-owned skincare brands such as shea butter, coconut oil, and essential oils. But the brand also adds a unique twist with Himalayan sea salt. The main focus of Avalah is to provide customers a spa-like experience. The brand also wants to give the peace of mind of knowing the natural materials come from the Earth.

As a stuntwoman, it is part of Niahlah Hope’s job to maintain physical health and performance ability. She also has to have aesthetic beauty. That’s why she started what is now one of the premier black-owned skincare brands, Avocani. To start such a brand, Hope had to be well informed about the body, how to fuel it, heal it, and maintain it. This African-American business owner has had her fair share of health scares. Her ailments have been both work and non-work related. They led to her deep love for learning more about the human body and what it needs to be healthy. Her stated goal is to inform others about what she has learned thus far. She also wants to improve their lives so that they, too, can emit beauty. Avocani products are all-natural and handmade for beautiful, hydrated hair and skin.

BabaAfrik Outfits was founded in 2013 by Babatunde "Baba" Sanusi, a 2016 graduate of Claflin University with a B.Sc. in Marketing. In July 2016, our e-Commerce site was launched. The inspiration for the clothing line comes from Baba's mother, Mrs. Adetoun Sanusi who is into the fabric business in Lagos, Nigeria. At BabaAfrik Outfits, we are focused on providing quality outfits with the highest level of customer satisfaction while empowering and creating jobs for tailors back in Nigeria. I started researching a lot of different ingredients and the main one I use in all of our products is Shea Butter. Shea Butter is nourishing and is a good moisturizer all skin types whether you have oily or dry skin. All Bariki Body Care products are made with you in mind, cruelty free & vegan friendly.
