Welcome to DUAFE. We believe in the importance of self identification and connecting to your ancestral roots. In Ghana, Adinkra symbols are tied to culture and heritage. DUAFE - “wooden comb” is one of the many Adinkra symbols from the Ghanaian Akan tribe. It is a symbol of feminine goodness, love & care. The duafe was a prized possession to Akan women who used it to comb and plait their hair. This is how DUAFE was born and quickly became the cornerstone of our brand. Your hair. The journey to discovering your roots uncovers your inner and outer beauty. OUR MISSION. We want to bridge the gap between culture, heritage & hair. We are proud to have our ingredients ethically and sustainably sourced. We have chosen sources where we can help provide business for the local community to improve the standard of living over time. We believe in giving back to our earth and our community. One of the ways we achieve this is by making our packaging reusable and recyclable. We really believe in making products that not only make a difference to you hair, but also your lifestyle and environment.

El Roche

Hair & Headwear, Wigs, Weaves and Hairpieces
Women Owned, Free Shipping, Ships Internationally
We are a luxury Hair and Beauty brand based in Ghana and the UK. The brand's aim is to bring out women’s inner Goddess through quality hair and beauty products. We want women to feel beautiful, confident, and admired from wearing luxurious Roche hair extensions and using our quality beauty products. Roche Hair and Beauty came from a young lady who has been passionate about beauty from a very young age and hair since she started wearing weaves at the age of 13. She wasn’t always confident in the way she looked, she had a number of insecurities that affected her confidence, she didn’t believe in her beauty. As time went on, she began to develop her own style through trying different hair styles and learning about beauty products. She started to believe in her beauty, the inner goddess within her began to shine through. People would always ask her where she would get her hair from, who did her hair or how she did her hair. For a short while, she started doing hair for young ladies in her university, realising she had something and was making these ladies feel beautiful, making her feel good and she was doing something right. Her hair journey continued on when she got a job at a well-known London hair extensions company. Within 2 years she learnt so much about hair and beauty but also gained a lifelong mentor, who encouraged her to begin her own journey within the industry. At the time she didn’t have the confidence to start, doubting her ability to overcome the pressures within the popular industry, believing there was a large number of women already doing the one thing she wanted to do the most, she told herself No. However, the universe didn’t stop showing her that it was her calling to make women feel good, the feeling she got knowing she was a part of the reason another woman felt beautiful and glamourous, she realised this is what she wants always do, the No shortly turned into a Yes. After many years of doubt and worry, mishaps along the way, starting and later on being forced to start again, she found her difference, she found her own style and remembered her aims and goals, this was the birth of Roche Hair and Beauty. “Believe in your Beauty, Be a Roche goddess”. -Founder, Rosina Rochelle

Needless to say, he was not impressed. That's how Willow&Mane was born. The evolution continues. We hope to provide you with quality products that you'll use and love time and again. My life's work began with adult onset acne. Talk about horrible! It’s nothing like blossoming into your own, only to want to retreat and hide inside this damaged shell. I began a search for anything that could heal me. The acne turned into marks and deep, open pores. Then, the severely dry, but oily complexion that became even MORE agitated with make-up and alcohol based remedies. As I aged, it only worsened and began making me look OLD...to add insult to injury- boils on my body, rashes and you name it... I got it! It seemed the more I fought, the worse it became. The more depressed I was. The lower my self-esteem and worth. I FINALLY realized I was not going to get any help from the medical community. Dermatologists and Acupuncture had failed me. What was I going to do???? I did some research and placed my first order for African Black Soap and Raw Shea Butter. The course of my journey shifted... I am completely Spirit, Ancestor, LOVE and self-taught. I have taken a few classes and read a couple books, but prefer to be led by my own creativity and ideas without being limited by the "box". This process has led to many a "wasted" batches, countless moments of frustration... even a couple itchy spots LOL! But, I have gained sooooo much in personal relationship with these ingredients that made my growth that much more PERSONAL, VALUABLE and PRECIOUS. After years of evolving, I can now say...I'm pretty darn proud of myself :) And I know my Creator and Grandmother in heaven are too! I love this life, and hope you can feel it. I take pride in knowing I am simply taking my place amongst all the natural healers, medicine women and conjurers that are in my blood. I am thankful to have found myself, and YOU!

The Rooted Baby Co.

Hair & Headwear, Accessories, Home & Garden, Other, Children, Fashion, Clothing, Childrens, Other
Women Owned, Handmade
Well, hello! We're so glad you stopped by to get to know us. My name is Alfreda Abena. My husband and I have been together since 2012 and married for the last 4 years. We welcomed our first child, Noah Kofi in spring 2018. I created The Rooted Baby Co. in honor of him. As a child, my father would tell me and my younger siblings stories about his life growing up in a little mountain village in Ghana. He told us about his parents, and the legacy left by his grandparents and great-grandparents. Stories of running and hiding from his older brothers in bushes with the sweetest berries, watching his mother cook with love, and of the vibrant celebrations the whole village would share. Through these stories, old pictures, and visits, I have always taken pride in my roots. It's a thought that is always in the back of my mind. It's a part of what defines me and is a driving force behind my much too many (read: never enough) stacks of vibrant Ghanaian art and fabric. When I gave birth to Noah Kofi, I naturally wanted to share my roots and love for Ghana with him. I not only want to recount the stories but to give him tangible pieces of Ghana in his everyday life. One day, frustrated with the selection of unique baby items, I decided to go into my stack of colorful fabric and make him some baby accessories from scratch. This is how The Rooted Baby Co. was "born"...to celebrate our roots and yours, Ghanaian culture, and pass it on to the next generation. Come learn about Ghana and celebrate the culture with me and my family! Make a striking statement with items as simple and bold as baby accessories. Our roots, your roots, are only just the beginning of the story.

ColorFullXChange

Women Owned, Natural
ColorFullXChange creator and owner, Tess Shimoyama, has been natural since 2006. She has tons of experience with natural hair. After several “big chops” of her own, the one in 2015 was something different. She has always had a passion for hair care and quality hair care products. Not a stylist but a wife and a stay-at-home mom of two, Tess created something innovative for Philly’s natural hair scene. ColorFullXChange was created after sitting on the hallway floor overwhelmed with the amount of products she had and didn’t use. The thought of a product swap came to mind instantly but where? When? How? The summer of 2016, Tess hosted the first (natural) hair product Swap event in the tristate area, Manes & Mimosas. Participants come to exchange new or gently-used hair products as well as hair tips & tricks while being educated on hair care topics such as coloring, cutting/trimming, styling & proper maintenance, by a licensed hair stylist. Tess created partnerships with local vendors (boutiques & business) so event goers can support small businesses while enjoying some retail therapy. The event was successful and four events later, ColorFullXChange had become more than ever anticipated. During this time of evolution for ColorFullXChange, Tess dealt with some unexpected issues with severe dry scalp during her pregnancy with her son. Her Dermatologist prescribed two medicated shampoos that were harsh and dried out her hair. So Tess took matters into her own hands to combat her diagnosis of seborrheic dermatitis aka adult cradle cap. After researching essential oils and comparing high-priced product lines, Tess’ Oil Blend™? was born. Tess has big plans for ColorFullXChange so stayed tuned. In the meantime, make sure you’re following the IG and FB pages and you join the Facebook group for updates, articles and sales!
