Inspired by the creativity of people of color through out the world, Tiana began to re-imagine West African textile patterns to create a new kind of kente: a digitalKENTE. I am a London based illustrator and maker working in a variety of mediums. I am a kitsch enthusiast, lover of colour and collector of Bric-A-Brac. My work is often inspired by the objects I like to surround myself with - the kinds of things we place on a shelf or mantelpiece that make us happy. I like to create things that are both vaguely familiar and yet unlike anything else. I am represented by Snyder New York both here in the UK and over in the US.

Hello! My name is Daniel Fishel and I am an illustrator, educator, and writer. I am currently living and working in Queens with my cat, Avocado. I am a graduate of the University of the Arts in Philadelphia (BFA Illustration) and School of Visual Arts in New York City (MFA Illustration as a visual essay). I currently teach as an adjunct lecturer at New York City College of Technology and as a Senior lecturer at the University of the Arts. Since 2009, my illustration work has appeared on records, books covers, apparel, advertisements, wine labels, animations, magazines and newspapers around the world. Jaleel Campbell is a New York based artist whose work ranges from illustration, curating, directing, performing and the latest, Doll making. Jaleel attained his BFA in Visual Communications with a specialization in Graphic Design from Cazenovia College and is now pursuing his MFA in Media Arts & Culture at SUNY Purchase in Westchester County. His passion for creating knows no bounds. It is through these acts that community building comes to the forefront. That is Jaleel’s mission and what drives him the most. Whether it be through his illustration work that showcases the often underrepresented, video work that captures the beauty and essence of black life and culture, or even his handmade dolls that aim to honor and acknowledge those who came before us. There is no limit to his genius and he will continue to keep creating work that reminds black people of their worth while also providing a sense of relief when the weight of the world gets too heavy.

Jessica Udeh is an Igbo-American self-taught visual + sound artist and creative director. She is also the founder of CHIAMAKA STUDIOS, a virtual art archive and conceptual design studio housing her works. Her practice is mixed/multimedia with a focus on collaging and sound- scaping. Primarily, Jessica’s work is a reiteration of thoughts & dreams merging West African & American pop-culture that explore identity, sexuality, politics, and the discourse between the three as they relate to her cultural background.

I’m Lauren (Lo) Harris, an Alabama-raised, Brooklyn-based digital artist who specializes in illustration and motion design. I utilize bright palettes, strong figures and relational compositions to create work that champions vibrance, confidence, humanity, and joy. Through my work I hope to illustrate a more just and kind world. I’m interested in working on editorial projects, social campaigns and environmental designs for lifestyle, technology, and beauty brands, as well as social justice initiatives. I am currently an Associate Animator at NBC News Digital, and have previously worked at The New York Times, Bustle and The Chicago Reporter.

Rachelle Baker is a multi-disciplinary artist from Detroit, MI with a background in Relief Printing (Screenprinting, Lino/Woodcutting), Illustration, Comic Art, Video Art, and Music. She is inspired by Shoujo manga, anime and comics bad girls, stoic women dancing in the backgrounds of late 90's/early 2000's R&B videos, and the sound cats make when they're yawning. She is a Capricorn with a Scorpio moon. I’m an illustrator + visual artist born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. I’m currently based in Los Angeles but plotting my return home soon. I use illustration and visual art as a tool to strengthen social movements for racial justice, immigrant justice, climate justice, mental health and LGBTQIA+ liberation. I think that in order to tear down harmful systems, we need to be able to envision a world without them. I’m trying to draw what that world looks like.
