ColorFullXChange creator and owner, Tess Shimoyama, has been natural since 2006. She has tons of experience with natural hair. After several “big chops” of her own, the one in 2015 was something different. She has always had a passion for hair care and quality hair care products. Not a stylist but a wife and a stay-at-home mom of two, Tess created something innovative for Philly’s natural hair scene. ColorFullXChange was created after sitting on the hallway floor overwhelmed with the amount of products she had and didn’t use. The thought of a product swap came to mind instantly but where? When? How? The summer of 2016, Tess hosted the first (natural) hair product Swap event in the tristate area, Manes & Mimosas. Participants come to exchange new or gently-used hair products as well as hair tips & tricks while being educated on hair care topics such as coloring, cutting/trimming, styling & proper maintenance, by a licensed hair stylist. Tess created partnerships with local vendors (boutiques & business) so event goers can support small businesses while enjoying some retail therapy. The event was successful and four events later, ColorFullXChange had become more than ever anticipated. During this time of evolution for ColorFullXChange, Tess dealt with some unexpected issues with severe dry scalp during her pregnancy with her son. Her Dermatologist prescribed two medicated shampoos that were harsh and dried out her hair. So Tess took matters into her own hands to combat her diagnosis of seborrheic dermatitis aka adult cradle cap. After researching essential oils and comparing high-priced product lines, Tess’ Oil Blend™? was born. Tess has big plans for ColorFullXChange so stayed tuned. Adodo Délali Robinson is an internationally-certified beauty professional and licensed cosmetologist. With more than 20 years of experience in the beauty industry, she infuses art, style, and education to conceptualize unmatched beauty stories that evoke confidence, radiance and joy. Born in Togo (West Africa) and raised in Germany by her Yoruba mother, Adodo noticed a huge gap in the German hair care industry - there were no salons that catered to Black women. She began braiding hair, providing services to women who were generally excluded from mainstream ideals of beauty and struggled to find products and stylists that met their unique hair care needs. This experience profoundly shaped Adodo, inspiring her to obtain a cosmetology license, igniting her entrepreneurial spirit, and cultivating her passion for inspiring, elevating, and celebrating the beauty of women of color. After moving to the United States opened a full service salon and day spa, Chéz Délali. Established in 2012, Chéz Délali provides a luxurious, tranquil environment for clients to relax as their beauty stories unfold. Like many of her clients with darker skin tones, Adodo struggled to find the perfect match for her complexion. In 2016, she expanded her business portfolio by founding lifestyle and beauty brand Délali Robinson Cosmetics, an inclusive makeup brand that celebrates the beauty of women of color. With more a wide range of foundation shades (in liquid, cream, and power) and liquified matte lipsticks, Délali Cosmetics compliments every skin tone. Paraben free, gluten free, cruelty free, and vegan friendly, Délali Cosmetics is not only healthy, its makeup lines also enable women of color to enhance their natural beauty and showcase their creativity. Among her many artistic talents, Adodo also provides on-site creative direction for hair and makeup bridal and professional photoshoots. Specializing in textured hair (of all types), Adodo has certifications in hair extensions (Germany) and advanced makeup artistry (Jamaica). She is passionate about educating her clients on ways to maintain healthy skin and hair. Adodo is fluent in four languages - Ifé, German, English, and French. A proud Army wife and mother of a son, Adodo lives in suburban Chicago with her family.

Eu2Be (just say "You to Be") was inspired by my beloved Aunt Eugenia, who embodied beauty as a creative force that we can tap into daily to empower a sense of well-being. I wanted to connect the beauty we inherit from our guardians—beloved grandmothers, aunts and mothers—with the beauty we get to create with our focused attention and skin care products. Minimo Skin Essentials was founded based on a deep obsession with the power & value of genuine natural ingredients & how they can do wonders for the skin. I began researching skincare solutions from natural ingredients in an effort to solve my own personal skin problem that a lot of other women also face: hyperpigmentation after childbirth.
