Company Profile . . .My store name, SouthernJewelryColl, is the short name for Southern Jewelry Collection, a home-based business located in the metropolitan Detroit/Southfield Michigan area. Founded in 2001, all of the jewelry in the Southern Jewelry Collection is handmade using traditional metalsmithing techniques to form copper, sterling silver, bronze, and nu-gold brass and other metals into unique and custom designed necklaces, rings, earrings, bracelets, anklets, cufflinks, custom photo jewelry and more. Several jewelry items are embellished with natural gemstones such as turquoise, onyx, labradorite, pearls, crystals, beads, and more. The possibilities are endless for me to make my jewelry unique. About the Owner/Designer . . .I am so excited to tell you about me. After so many years of various hobbies, I fell in love with making jewelry. I first became a member of the Great Lakes Beadworkers Guild and later pursued my love of metal and took classes at the Fritz Willis School of Jewelry Making in Franklin, Michigan. Throughout the years I took various workshops at the Birmingham Bloomfield Art Center, the College for Creative Studies, the Wildacres Retreat as well as other workshops around the country. I am a member of the Michigan Silversmiths Guild and former member of the Great Lakes Beadworkers Guild. I started my jewelry business in 2001 with a focus on metalsmithing and one goal -- Customer Satisfaction. I love to transform metal and beads into personal art. Everything in my store is handmade by me . . . rings, necklaces, bracelets, pins, and even knitting stitch markers – yes, I am a knitter and make my own knitting stitch markers.
