My fashion philosophy revolves around the concept of having fun and creating stylish pieces, whether the look is classic, modern, or edgy. Inspired by the natural curves of island women, the concentration is placed on complimenting these figures by creating pieces that are simply and stylishly flattering, yet comfortable and easy to wear. Having coined the phrase, “Fashion has no rules once there is style”, fashion is the designer’s true voice of expression, where there is no right or wrong. As trends emerge and fashion evolves, Phylicia Ellis continues to experiment with vibrant colors, different textures, and unusual fabrics in an effort to create designs that challenge the status quo.
