Throwing

In the early 2000s I met a potter who convinced me that exploring ceramics would be a great experience – she was right. From the first moment I put my hands on the clay I felt as if I’d come home. Ceramics is, enjoyably, a medium in which I have direct contact with the materials. It asks for practice in patience, mindfulness and letting go, along with the opportunity to produce handmade objects for everyday use. It merges my love of being a maker with my love of cooking and sharing good food. For the last decade-plus I been working with fellow creatives to bring their artistic visions to life, working with a variety of materials. Now I’m in a place where I can blend the lessons learned from these experiences with my love of making objects and sharing good food, in my favorite material. My intention with this collection of handmade ceramic tableware and more is to create thoughtful, well-designed and well-crafted pieces. Careful thought and consideration have been given to every piece about who will use it, why you will use it and how you will use it. All the work is done by me, in the studio, in Cape Ann, Massachusetts. I hope you find as much pleasure using my pots as I had in making them.
