Hi! I’m Jamila Shaw I was born in Niamey, Niger; grew up in Toledo, OH and moved to Austin, TX in 2014 to pursue my teaching career. I teach AP World History to 10th graders. In February of 2019 I decided to dust off my sewing machine and use the skills my grandmother Connie (a former art teacher, mother of seven, seamstress just to name a few of her talents) taught me when I was in high school to relieve some stress and be creative with my hands again. I started making gifts for my friends and in March I decided to create an Instagram and try my hand at entrepreneurship. This is my journey, to make handmade head-wear for everyone!
