Each morning, African-American business owner Kris Christian had a ritual. She diluted bold coffee roasts with extra sugars and creamers for a sweeter taste. As Christian searched for a natural sweetener to enhance her bitter cup, a light bulb went off. She decided to grind her coffee with dried fruits, chocolate, and nuts. Using her beloved French Press, Christian created an aromatic and delicious brew. It was a solution not only for herself but for coffee
enthusiasts everywhere. Today, Chicago French Press (CFP) fuels the mornings of other go-getters. High-achievers can now get a bold cup of Joe boosted with unique flavors. Each batch made by this Black-owned business is freshly-roasted in Chicago, Illinois. CFP uses only single-origin, custom-roasted organic coffee flavored by hand. The company donates a part of sales from each bag sold. The proceeds are to support local and national programs for people in need.
