Kemi Aromashodu is the founder of Chic in Prints, a Black-owned clothing brand. Aromashodu made many attempts to work with sewists here in the United States. She soon realized that she was spending too much money. She still was never satisfied with anything she got. She took matters into her hands and started what is now known as Chic in Prints. She founded the company on December 29th, 2017. Aromashodu
gathered a couple of her friends. She asked them if they would be willing to buy African print clothing from her. They all said yes. So she founded Chic in Prints, using Ankara material sourced from Nigeria. All the styles for this Black-owned clothing brand are handmade. Kemi employs wonderful, talented sewists in Nigeria. This company supports the dreams of these youth and helps them to support their families.
