Beer is the most popular adult beverage on the planet, and I believe that everyone should feel welcome to enjoy it. I began visiting breweries, taprooms, and beer bars two decades ago, and over the years it’s been glaringly obvious that something is missing – more people who look like me. My mission since launching The Atlanta Beer Boutique has been to remix the craft beer experience into one that’s more open and welcoming for all who wish to enjoy it. I seek to create spaces, events and experiences that invite all to shop for, explore and connect with craft beer. HI. MY NAME IS JEN AND I LOVE BEER. I’ve loved beer all of my life – that’s no exaggeration. One of my fondest childhood memories is enjoying a cold one with my Dad. It was just the foam, but what did I know? I loved it. Partly because it was something that only he and I shared and also because I really liked beer. They say beer is an acquired taste. I may have gotten a head start on most! Over the years, my love for and appreciation of beer has continued to grow. In 2011, I decided to pursue my passion and launched The Atlanta Beer Boutique as a beer blog. Since that time, it’s evolved into a private events company, I’ve become a Certified Beer Server, and I authored a book, The Chick’s Guide to Beer: Seven Simple Rules for the Beer Novice. Now, I’m working on my current project – opening a brick and mortar retail location!
